- No. M2M Books will never ask an author for money. On the contrary, if we wish to publish your work, we will offer an advance.
- Do I need a literary agent to submit?
- No. Submissions are welcome directly from authors or through an agent.
- Do I need to identify as a ‘marginalised writer’ in order to submit writing to M2M Books?
- No. We judge submissions on whether we think the work will resonate with a specific marginalised audience. Such work may be composed by authors of any background. M2M Books will never reject submissions due to author background or identity.
- Will M2M Books accept submissions written in foreign languages or from writers living overseas?
- Submissions must be English language (English or Welsh for children’s books). M2M Books is based in Wales but welcome submissions from authors from around the world. Successful submissions from overseas must appeal to English-speaking audiences throughout the world, but particularly to readers in the United Kingdom.
- Will M2M Books provide any editorial advice or feedback on rejected manuscripts?
- No. We judge a submission not only on merit, but also how great a fit the submission is with the publishing model of M2M Books. We will not engage in further feedback.
- What formats do M2M Books intend to publish?
- Initially, paperback and digital. Audiobooks and perhaps hardcovers for titles that gain commercial traction.
