M2M Books publishes books written for marginalised audiences.

We prioritise the complex, the authentic, and the internal; literature that will resonate with marginalised communities, rather than books that beg the world for permission and understanding. We want to publish fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that offer solace, resilience, and intellectual armour to our various marginalised communities in an increasingly hostile political climate.

M2M Books is intent on building “Internal Libraries” for marginalised communities. To become a curator of narratives that act as psychological and intellectual fortifications; fiction, nonfiction, and poetry to provide much-needed support and motivation at a time when external politics offer little in the way of remedy.

Because these books must fortify a community, the literary craft must be uncompromising. For example, M2M Books is not interested in a Racism or Homophobia 101 narrative designed to educate a mainstream audience, but in a sophisticated internal dialogue that will resonate within the community.

If you are ready to start contributing to an internal library for your own marginalised community, we are ready to read your work.

Information & Guidelines for all Submissions

M2M Books welcomes submissions from both new and previously published authors, directly from authors or through their agents. Submissions must be English language (English or Welsh for children’s books), original, and unpublished. Make sure that your manuscript is edited and redrafted to the point where you feel you cannot improve the work further.

Formatting your Submission

Although not a complete dealbuster, you will make the job of reading your work more comfortable by formatting your submission A4 with a 12 point Times New Roman font. Fiction and nonfiction should be double-spaced. Poetry should be single-spaced. You will also need a title page and sequential page numbers.

All submissions will be acknowledged within a few working days and all writers will be notified of the outcome of their submission. This ‘submission outcome’ notification may take several months.
